Farm Hub Jamaica ("we", "our", "the app") is operated as a sole proprietorship in Jamaica. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address and display name when you register or sign in with Google.
• Farm data: information you enter about animals, crops, tasks, inventory, finances, team members, and farm location. This data belongs to you and is stored in your farm's Firestore database.
• Location: GPS coordinates only when you tap "Use current location" in Settings. We never track location in the background.
• Device data: FCM push-notification token (to deliver alerts to your device), app version, and crash diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics.
• Subscription data: your current plan tier and Play Store purchase tokens (used solely to validate your subscription server-side). We never see your payment card details — those stay with Google Play.
• Usage analytics: anonymised event logs via Firebase Analytics (feature usage, screen views). No advertising IDs are collected or shared.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the app's features.
• To send farm alerts, task reminders, and weather notifications you have enabled.
• To validate your subscription and gate paid features accordingly.
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs (Crashlytics).
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following Google/Firebase services which have their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, FCM, Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config — governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing — subscription processing governed by Google Payments Privacy Notice.
• WeatherAPI.com — farm-location weather data; no personal data is sent, only the farm's latitude/longitude.
• OpenStreetMap tile servers — map tiles for the field-map screen; no personal data is transmitted.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure (US-based data centres unless you are on a regional project). We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure each user can only access their own farm data. Subscription entitlements are written only by our server-side Cloud Functions — the client app cannot grant itself paid access.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your farm data is retained for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and all associated data:

1. Open the app → Profile → scroll to the bottom → Delete account. This immediately deletes your Firebase Auth account and queues deletion of your Firestore farm data.
2. Alternatively, email us at [email protected] and we will process the request within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Farm Hub Jamaica is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Effective date" at the top will change, and significant changes will be notified in-app.
